Uthsca

U.S.A. Texas

Hey guys,

I am a pre-nursing student looking into Uthsca. I have tons of questions about the program, so any of the following questions you can answer would be greatly appreciated, thank you:)

1. Do you enjoy the program?

2. What was your gpa when you were accepted?

3. Do they only factor their pre-reqs for the gpa or every class you've taken?

4. How competitive is it to get accepted?

5. What do you like most about the program?

6. What do you dislike about the program?

7. Is it true that Uthsca is the best nursing program in san antonio?

8. What would be your advice for a pre nursing student to be successful in the program?

9. What was/is the hardest part for you?

10. Can you tell me how you study/prepare for exams?

I just got accepted at UTHSC-SA for the fall 2010 traditional program. What year do you plan on applying? Like all nursing programs, I think that this program has a lot of competition. Beside GPA (they look at overall, science, and pre-req), they will take the into consideration the personal statements and admission test (teas more than likely) into factoring admissions. I was accepted into the program with a 2.987 overall gpa and 3.496 pre-req (i had already finished all my classes when i applied). I also have an Associates of Science. Classes dont start til Aug 23 so i cant elaborate about that.

Hey Friendlysmile, I'm planning on applying for next fall. I just worry that I won't get in... my gpa is a little lower than yours (3.3), so I have to get that up. Thank you:)

Actually my overall grade is 2.987 (my science: anatomy I,II, & microbiology, Chem I,II is 3.496), if your gpa (overall) is 3.3 then you are good. Just apply anyways, you never know if you will get accepted.
