UTHSC-Houston Spring 2013

Hi,

I am new to allnurses.com and I wanted to start a topic for the Spring 2013 applicants at UTHSC Houston. Where we can keep each other posted on the process as it nears. I have yet to take the HESI but i wonder if anyone else has taken it and what their score was. I will compile my GPA's later and post them on here.

I'm going to try to make it to the meet up but I'll be coming in from out of town so we'll see! I didnt want to suggest a day or anything because my schedule is so crazy the next couple of months and didn't want to have to bail lol but if I can't make it to this one I really hope to make it to another :)

I was told reliably that 678 apps were receieved and that SON increased the number of students for spring 2013 from 90-150. Guys this is good NEWS. I hope we all make it!!!!!!!

I dont want to be naive and just believe everything I read, but the word "reliably" has me sold! I PRAY you are 100% right! Thanks for sharing!! :up:

I am overjoyed 'cos I know that many of us will be going in this time and thats why I decided to share. I could have held it but I truly know that this is going to make somebody happy. I was also informed that by end of October, there will be a system update before the letters will go out. I believe that the councilor wldn't have said the number of intakes will increase to 150 if its not true. Anyway, somebody can call to confirm.

I think I read that there are usually more applicants, in the 1000+ range with around 80 people accepted so this is sup-ah awesome news!
