UTH Help

Published

I am so worried, I applied for the UTH accelerated program and dont know how they take courses. What I mean is I called last week and asked why they did not accept my intro to chem class that I made an A in and he ended up giving me the credit for it (thats great)...well when i didnt think they would take intro i ended up getting into the fall general chem class and was doing great until i moved back stateside. Well now I am failing the general chemistry and dont know if they are even going to look at that grade since they already have my intro to chem class. If they do look at it I am screwed but if they only look at the intro to chem which has already been added into my new GPA for them I may have a chance... What do you guys think?

Did you take a lab component with the Intro to Chem class? I know you have to take a lab part for it to be counted. At the community colleges, it's CHEM 1405 (at HCC, Intro to Chem). If you took 1305, you can register for just the lab part (1 hour credit). I am just getting this info from their Prerequisite Equivalency List on UT-Houston's website and that I got at an info session.

Another thing to consider is if your credits came from a regionally (not nationally) accredited school or not. Most schools won't accept credits from schools that aren't regionally accredited (including University of Phoenix).

That's all I can think of off the top of my head....

Hi, thanks for replying, but they have already accepted the Intro to chem course I previously took. I am just worried that they are going to look at the General Chem class I am in right now that is pending on one of the transcripts they have.

I am failing that Gen chem class so if they only look at Intro to chem that is great sorry if its confusing...im confused LOL
