UTA RN-BSN CAPSTONE Beginning 9/23 Information Requested

Good afternoon! I am writing to inquire if anyone would be willing to share a syllabus or course calendar with due dates for the NURS 4585 RN-BSN CAPSTONE course. I am a cardiac CCRN and want to make sure my work schedule allows for my school work (I didn't get all the way to Capstone to not be able to finish my degree).

The last class I took was the only course in the program to require all assignments be completed by Thursday at 0800. Not one other course in the RN-BSN program had that day of the week as the due date... and it killed me.

If someone could share the documents or perhaps let me know what day of the week RN-BSN CAPSTONE requires assignments be submitted, I would be forever in your debt.

I'm just trying to make sure my work schedule doesn't hinder the light at the end of this UTA RN-BSN tunnel. Thank you!!!

Hello,

I've been able to find syllabi for most UTA classes on-line in advance of the start date and Capstone is no exception. Here is a link to ***** faculty profile. Scroll down and you can download the most recent syllabus (Summer 2013). This should be the same as the one to be used for your class. I'm starting Capstone on Monday, so if there are any changes in the assignment dates, I'll send you a PM.

From what I've seen, the syllabi generally don't change much. However, keep in mind that the only syllabus that matters is the one that YOUR teacher issues on the first day of class.

Scarlet, thank you so much. I was unaware there was such a resource for students. Good luck with Capstone and congratulations on your BSN!

And just to reiterate this point...I'm in NURS 4465 right now. The syllabus found online for the previous session was NOT the same as the one that was handed out in the first day of this class...it was mostly similar but there were several differences, most notably a change in the textbook to be used. Now we're all scrambling to get the correct textbook and class has already begun.

You can use the syllabi you find on-line as a general reference, but don't make any concrete plans until you receive the official syllabus for your class.
