Hi, just got accepted to the University of Texas at Arlington online FNP program for Fall 2021. I am quite nervous and would greatly appreciate words of advice or form a support group with anyone else starting the program as well.

I’m unsure if you know but the job market is TOUGH! There are many people who have graduated and cannot find a job after 2 years of looking in the DFW area. My advice……line up preceptors now as they are hard to come by, network, network, network. Treat every clinical as a job interview and do your absolute best. If you don’t know the answer when they ask a question, tell them you will research it and be able to tell them the next day or do it on your lunch break. Make every encounter count and leave a good impression so you can possibly find a job afterwards. Just my two cents!
