UTA AP BSN Online Fall 2014

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hi everyone....I am very anxiously awaiting my admissions decision from UT Arlington for the online AP BA-BSN program, Fall 2014. I am wondering who else is waiting or if anyone can offer me insight about my chances. Tough question I know....just going a bit crazy waiting!

My stats are as follows:

3.857 GPA

3.75 GPA Sciences

Three considerations (BA obtained in US, more than 30 hours taken at UTA, 12/16 natural sciences hours taken at UTA)

HESI 99

My only outstanding prereqs are pharmacology and pathophysiology, which I will take at UTA this summer.

I would so appreciate any help, insight....or the chance to commiserate with others waiting :-)! I am also wondering what other schools anyone in the same situation I am is considering. I am afraid I will jinx myself not having a back-up plan :-).

Thanks so much....hope everyone's doing great out there!

I am pretty much in the same boat, anxiously waiting. We should get letters in late april. I have the same GPA, but not previous Bachelors. I do work with a partnered hospital though so I am hoping that can help me.

Best of Luck!

Thanks so much for the comment! It's so good to know that I'm not going through this wait alone. I was okay for the first three months :-)....now I'm starting to get really antsy!

Let's keep each other posted! Wishing you good luck too!

Have either of you heard if you are in yet?? I'm interesting in getting to know a few others accepted so we can go thru this together!

I got my acceptance email last Friday! I am SUPER psyched of course :)....who else? Want to get to know you all as well....

@texasrunnermom...congratulations! There's a thread over in the online schools section with a few others that have posted regarding this. I was accepted as well, look forward to meeting everyone.

Hi there everyone, I've been a long time lurker but I figured I should jump in here to try to get more information.

Does anyone know how the hell these "considerations" work? I was previously told that it was just used to give a leg up when you're tied with a person/people in the GPA ranking, however it's really not looking like that's true since people with lower much lower GPAs (with considerations) than some on the waitlist are getting accepted.

For all those waitlisted, please add to this googledoc that utamav6072 has posted, I think it'd help everyone out understand what's going on with the waitlist. Spread it around!

Hi, @kp2000 and @hunry!

Thanks @kp2000....I will check that thread out! Congratulations to you as well! --Looking forward to getting to know you.

@hunry....I wish I knew more about how the considerations work....I am not much use there. I have my fingers crossed for you though....hoping you hear something good soon.

@texasrunnermom thank you! I had expressed my questions to my advisor and she actually seemed pretty concerned about the consideration system because she doesn't know how the heck it works either. I have an appointment with the dean, and I hope I just get some clear answers instead of the run around.
