UT Tyler Fall 2012

I just applied for fall of 2012 at UT Tyler and was wondering if anyone applied too. I tried to find a topic on here but the latest one was for 2010. I'm transferring from UTA and I don't know if I have enough points to be competitive. The advisor said anything over 70 is competitive, is that true?

yes it is. I am a level 1 and I know plenty of people around 70. they make take other things into consideration though.

Hi luckyberries!I too applied to UT Tyler for the fall 2012 program. It's odd that there aren't any other threads for it. It's good to hear that a 70 is competitive. I'm still completing my prerequisites so I'm worried I'll lose points that way

I have applied for fall 2012 also! I am currently at Texas A&M and hope to come back to Tyler area. (I am from Terrell) I called today to see when we would find out anything and they said within 6 weeks of the deadline. That doesn't help me at all! Does anyone know a more exact date than that?

I heard 6 weeks after the deadline as well... An exact date would be really nice. Hopefully they mean exactly 6 weeks because I'm signed up for a visit to the campus on March 31st! I don't want to make the trip over there for no reason if I am denied admission lol. I guess we'll just have to wait and see :/

I just got a called from the university seeing if I wanted to schedule a tour with them, I'm guessing thats what you're doing on the 31st? They said the nursing letters will come out around the first week of April. I'm scared though, I'm only at 72pts, I'm pretty sure a lot of people have higher scores than me.

Yes, I think that's it. It's called Patriot Day or something. Yeah, I'm worried too. I calculated my points depending on if I make A's this semester but I don't think they'll be considering those to make their admission decision since they are still in progress. I guess I should calculate my score as it is to this day. I'll do that later

Are you still taking prerequisites?

No I"m done with everything so I get an extra 5pt boost. Did you meet with the advisor at ut tyler yet? I went a couple of times and she calculated my scores out for me.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to meet with an advisor. I live in San Antonio so I'm just waiting for the 31st to go get everything sorted out. 5 extra points! That's awesome! :)
