Started this page for new graduate nurses applying to UTSW's Nurse Residency Program for the October 2023 Cohort. Looking forward to connecting with all of you! Good luck!

I'm pretty sure that's a big no-no if I sign and then rescind later. The hospital that made me an offer is my third choice. I don't like contracts LOL
I know the feeling but I would just send them an email and communicate to them that you would like to take some to consider all your options to make the best decision. Ask when is the latest you can sign the paperwork. They know students apply to multiple places plus I don't like contracts either. One of my nurse friends told me to chose the unit that's my first choice. The unit at UTSW was my second choice.

It was alot better and the interviewer was very welcoming. They asked pretty much the same behavioral questions (prob like 6-7 questions); my mouth was so dry afterwards haha
I applied at Childrens but wasn't accepted for the position (very competitive hospital). I applied for UTSW ambulatory & OR
Hi Milo! looks like we've been doing the same thing! I just had my UTSW interview today , it was the 1hr zoom call... did you get a 2nd interview after that?
Milo8 said:Same here, I haven't heard anything back yet ? which unit did you interview for?
I filled out the Speciality Unit Application that was posted only and I haven't even got any interview or literally anything at all after I filled the application. I filled it out the day It opened. So now im kind of nervous that people got reached out to after the application closed.

@Milo8 @FolakeoI hate to hear some haven't heard back from UTSW as of yet.. the recruiter emails those selected based on the hiring managers sections in each unit. I personally would suggest to hold off for a week or so because it is still early.
