UT Southwestern Dallas July 2020 Nurse Residency

Hi! Here's a new forum for everyone applying for the July 2020 Nurse Residency at UTSW. The application closes on Dec. 1st! I applied for the Women's services track!

For those that accepted a position, have you heard if anything further is needed from us at this time? I have 17 out of the 18 steps completed on the task list. I hear that some hospitals will be starting their new residents earlier than expected due to the virus. I wonder if that will be the case with UTSW.

I emailed the person on my offer email to ask if there was a way we could start earlier. I know medical city is letting their graduate hires work as techs until their residency starts.

Has anyone hear back from womens services or heard anything at all? I've emailed them with no reply. I know it takes a long time, but its been five months ?

I am still waiting on Oncology. Will they email us if they want to reject?

I am still waiting on the status after the interview with progressive care panel but being sincere I already lost fate they have taken months in replying.

Does anyone know when the next round of residencies begin? or when the applications open?

I may be wrong but for some reason, I do not think they were hiring for women's services. The next round is October and applications normally open in July.

They emailed me two weeks ago that they were gonna send out notifications soon? so I'm confused. Why do you think they arent hiring for womens??

I could be completely wrong I just know that no one I know heard from Women's health. I guess they could be severely delayed due to CoVID though. Hoping they just haven't sent out acceptances or denials yet.

Thats why I've been so confused bc no one has heard anything?? All they said to me a couple weeks ago is "you should hear soon from HR."

I feel like they would have sent out something, but I guess we will see if they respond to me.

According the email that I received: there is a delay due to the current situation in their hiring system.

Also, because of the delay , so many people already accepted other offers and that might causes another delay to consider other interviewees.
