UT Health Sciences Houston Admission problems

Does anyone have any experience with UT Health Sciences in Houston post masters NP certificate programs? I applied for a post MSN NP program way back in January. Classes start in about 2 weeks and they have still not reviewed my application. Looks like they are recruiting heavily for a DNP track- which I am not interested in at the moment.

It's now 7 months since I applied and I have contacted the admissions department multiple times. Each time I have received a different and inaccurate answer as to when I would get an admission decision, if i can even get a hold of someone.

Initially I had wanted to go to this particular program due to the awesome instate tuition rate, and the location inside the Texas Medical Center with access to all kinds of clinical experiences. I don't expect a perfect program and am very self directed in my own learning- my learning is my responsibility.

Even if I get in, I'm now super worried about what kind of experience I will have at this school. This has left a bad impression. Admissions is not always a reflection tho, of what the experience will be with actual faculty.

Definitely there are other programs out there. Anyone have any experience with this school?

Appreciate your responses.

I applied also Cizik School of Nursing for the Post Master's FNP program since June 2019. My application status still states "Application Under Review." I have left series of voice messages and emailed the school of nursing. Still, no one has cared to even give me an update on my application status. Classes start in January 2020 and I do not know my fate.

I applied for FNP Summer 2020 and received a call on 12/4 asking me to do a phone interview on 12/5 for Spring 2020 admission. I received an email on 12/6 stating that I had been accepted into the program. I'm not sure what is going on with your application. They seemed very unorganized when I did speak with them though.

Congratulations! I am happy for you. I will call the admissions office again to see if I can get through to someone who will provide me with credible information regarding my admission status.
