Hi!
I don't see a thread for the Spring 2024 cohort of UT Cizik's BSN-DNP program yet, so I decided to start one. Anyone else applied already? Also, if anybody who is already in the program has advice/info that would be much appreciated! This program is very competitive, and I am a nervous wreck.

Hey! I'm a little late on this but I did get my interview invite last week for mid-September.

Wow that's awesome, congrats! When did you submit your application? I'm trying to get a feel for when I might hear back. Also is it an in person interview or still on zoom?
Thanks! I submitted my application on June 21st. There was then an email sent on July 7th that said that interviews would take place Sept 11-15. The email then said that applicants selected would be sent a separate communication for the invite in the first week of August. I got mine at noon on Friday the 4th. The interview is in-person.

Hmm I don't think I received the email sent July 7th. This was for the Family Nurse Practitioner program for this coming Spring? Either way that's a good sign because I applied about 2 weeks after you so this means they finally got the ball rolling on reviewing applications!

Haha, nope! Its for BSN-DNP in nurse anesthesia LOL. I should have looked for "CRNA" anywhere on the post. Good luck to you!

LOL that's OK! They review all programs around the same time which means they're finally getting to the Fall submissions!

I applied to the Acute Care Track. I haven't heard anything back yet but I sent in my application through nursingCAS August 7th. Have you heard anything back from the FNP program yet? Also, did it feel strangely incompletely with the application process for you?

Haven't heard anything yet! And incomplete how? I know it was definitely more exhaustive than any other application I've done. So many sections and moving parts.
Just in how you complete the application through nursingCAS, then the supplemental through the school, but the only real confirmation that they have it is NursingCAS saying they sent it. It just feels uncomfortable using the third party system even though that's what all the programs do all the way from pharmacy to nursing and medical.

Agreed. I had to contact IT 3 times to set up my ApplyUTH profile so I could actually confirm my application was submitted and track the status.
