Im applying for the ust bsn program here in Houston for fall 2017 so i thought i start a new thread for everyone. Im so hoping i get in.
Sadly, I don't know what her GPA was. I met her at an open gym I went to at St.Thomas a little while ago so I didn't get much information from her. She just told me about the deadline date because I was hoping we would hear sooner. July 15th is sooooo late!!! Are you going to be living in the dorms, commuting, or renting an apartment? I am struggling with what I want to do in terms of living, if I get accepted.
I had my friend text that girl I told you about. She said she had a 3.6 GPA & was told she would definitely get in with that GPA. She has been at UST though and they consider based on the essay & many other things other than GPA. I'm not going to get too excited about what she says since she probably has a higher advantage over me since I am a transfer.
I have been talking to the girl who is currently enrolled in the BSN program. I was asking her about orientation & she just told me that it's more like a prep week. You take standardized testing over A&P, Math and Grammar. If you don't make an 80 or above on each of the tests then for your Fall semester you are in remediation. She recommended we start looking over A&P again, but the other tests are easy enough to pass. I don't understand why none of this information is posted on there website or even mentioned in open house.

It is total torture, but the day is coming up fast! Do you mean stats as in how many people they take, NCLEX passing rates, or what?
