USMC to LVN

U.S.A. California

Hello all,

New here and trying to get some advice. I am planning to leave the Marine Corps in less than 2 years and want to start a Nursing career. Problem is, I can only attend school at night and I only have 2 years to get something done. The only place I know of that meets my needs seems to be Maric College in San Diego (by the way I live in Oceanside). I am looking at attending their LVN program. I know it is costly, but, as far as I know it is my only option. Does anyone have any advice? Does anyone know of someone who attended or is attending Maric College? Is it reputable? HELP... Thanks for your time and I look forward to future chats.

Hi - Check with the Board of Vocational Nursing in California at http://www.bvnpt.ca.gov - also, the California LVN's have a web site, they can be found at http://www.clvna.org

I had a classmate in LVN school who lived in Oceanside traveled to Garden Grove up in OC. Her husband was in the Marines the military paid for her schooling hardly any cent came out of her pocket. I heard of Maric College I think they are affiliated with Kaplan. that's all I know.
