Hey all!
I can’t seem to find much info on this on my own so I’m asking for some help!
I normally work in post op in a hospital and recently had a friend who is a school nurse ask if I can help her one day with kids school vision/hearing screenings. I want to make sure I’m protecting my license and working within my scope. Is there anything I need to do to ensure I am acting within my scope/skills/licensure?
thanks!
It's certainly within your scope and licensure; you just need to be oriented to the equipment. Non-licensed people help with screenings in some places; the procedures themselves don't require a license.
