USF tutition

Published

I've been accepted to USF and UM for next year and am trying to decide which one to go to. I realize that USF will have significantly lower tuition, but I wanted to know if anybody knew how much it was more or less. I already live in Miami and my boyfriend lives walking distance from the UM campus so I'd be saving money on gas/rent/moving by attending UM - besides the fact that the program is a semester shorter - but if USF is a quarter of the price, it may end up being better for me to go there. Anyone know how much it is after fees and everything? This information is conspicuously absent from their nursing website.

Wow... so basically USF would cost me only 10k less (my living expenses in Miami are very low, since my boyfriend lives very close to the campus) plus I'd be done faster at UM and, therefore, be able to enter the job market faster.

Thanks for the help! I was getting very frustrated that there wasn't a link for their nursing program price, which most programs have readily available.

The Difference is probably more than 10K because USF includes food, plus remember that is only for one year. If you are entering as a junior it would be more than 20K...think about how long you would have to work to make up the difference or that Miami = USF + a newer car.

The USF amount is for one year as a full time student. So double it and add on another two thousand for clinical fees, over-credit amounts since I'll be in the accelerated program. Plus the fact that UM is only 3 semesters, vs USF's 4 semesters, meaning I'd be making money 4-5 months earlier with the UM program.

usf is $170.80/hr for in-state and around 500 something/hr for out of state. It was absent because prices increase every year. My tuition and fees for this fall (I'm beginning absn program) is $2990. That includes all fees charged.
