Hey everyone, I was looking for a blog and didn't see one for the next cohort at USF and decided to create one. I think it would be really helpful to be in touch with other students applying. Let's discuss and stay in touch through this process =)

Hi everyone!

I was admitted into the OC campus as well for Spring 2019! Congrats to everyone else who was admitted!

For those of you who were waitlisted--I was waitlisted twice and finally got in on my third try. My application was strong but could have been better the first two times so what helped me the most was completely rewriting my personal statement (I hired a writing editor to help me) and getting completely new letters of recommendation. I also retook a prerequisite over the Summer to show that I was still putting in the time and effort to improve my application (and to also improve my GPA). Anyways, like with most schools, it mostly is a waiting game. It's nice that USF has multiple application cycles a year so I wouldn't be too discouraged if you didn't make it in this round but if you plan on reapplying, make sure you show some sort of improvement in your application. I didn't thoroughly have time to rewrite my PS for my second try applying so that's why I think I was waitlisted again that time. Anyways, best of luck to everyone!!! You will make it!!

Yes I got in :) thank you guys!! The last date to make a deposit is Nov 19. Hopefully others not in the forum will decline their offer and open some slots for waitlisters by then!

Hi all,

Been lurking this page for a while, thought it was time I finally say hello :)

I have also been on the waitlist for USF SF campus since Oct 19. Have any of you on the waitlist heard back yet? (Besides @nnngo, congratulations!!)

Also does anyone know when the first group of acceptances have to confirm their admission by? That may give a better idea of when waitlisters will hear back..
