Published

Hey guys! I'm starting this thread for the September 2024 Cohort at USC Keck's Versant RN Residency Program. Hopefully we can update each other on application processes, interviews, and job offers!

Applications open up on June 3! Good luck to all of us (-:

Does anybody know when we can expect a response & when the programs starts?

We'll probably start hearing back from them after June 17 since that's when the application closes! And on the website it says that the cohort starts in September, but it doesn't say specifically which day that month

My application changed from 'Under Review' to 'Under Consideration' this morning!

Same here; I'm not sure if it means anything.

Any body have any insight?

Me too! It was only my telemtry application that changed. My ICU app still says "under review".

My ICU says under review too, tele still under consideration. from eperience it takes a while don't get discouraged this is my second time applying to USC.

How was the application process and interview like when you first applied? 🥺

It could probably mean that our application was sent to the unit hiring managers from HR, and they are now looking at the possible candidates!  It was like that when I applied and interviewed for UCLA, so that could also be the same for USC?

My ICU/CCU and Tele applications went from 'Under Review' to 'Under Consideration'! 🥹

The application process can take up to a few weeks to hear back, they have a lot of applicants and weeding out to do. ICU/CCU has the most applicants (I believe they had said at least 10,000 the last time around). The interview is going to be in front of a panel of people, most likely the Educator, Charge/Manager, and the program director. Mine had a panel of 4 people last time I applied. They can smell fear so try to be as confident in your abilities as you can, you got here for a reason. Make sure to have some stories prepared for past experiences. And the rest was pretty normal/common interview questions. Good luck to everyone, and hopefully were all early enough to get to the front of the line for consideration!

Has anyone else's ICU/CCU application changed to "under consideration" yet?

Thank you so much for the insight 🥹 Do you remember what questions they asked during the interview? Did they ask any clinical scenario questions?
