US nurse to NZ!!

Hello,

well, i will graduate in this upcoming may, 2010 with my traditional BSN degree in US.

my plan is working about a yr in US, and moving to NZ... but now i'm quite worried that US nursing degree has quite a lot of problems to be accepted to other countries because of short clinical practice hours in the school.

Well, my degree is a traditional BSN degree, but it's only 2yrs program anyway- 1-2 yrs prerequisits + 2 yrs nursing school. Lots of US nursing school has this system that i can't do anything with...

so i'm just really worried whether i can enroll in NZ nursing council and work there...

anyone with the answer???

i haven't heard of many US nurses having difficulties with Australia and NZ but a lot will depend on transcripts and what clinical and theory hours you have. The only real way to find out is to apply to the NZ nursing board and see what they say
