Hi! I'm currently applying for my license in UK. But I was kind of stuck in the process of BON verification.
Regulator Verification Status - Requested
Is NMC just going to send an email to my BON (I'm in Ohio)?? And I call Ohio BON to let them know "hey UK NMC is going to send some verifications to you guys"? I did call already but the operator in my state definitely had no idea what's that about and even asked me to call a nursing office when she even didn't know the phone number.
I'll call back again tomorrow. But still, I was very frustrated about that. Any suggestions would be great! Thank you!

Ohio has online service to Verify an Ohio License or Certificate that UK NMC can use to verify your license. If NMC is requesting a certified copy, they can submit a Public Records Request

Hi! Thank you for your replies!
NMC is not going to use online service to verify a license by my understanding, instead they say
"We'll then contact your regulator to confirm the details you have provided and to check if you meet our eligibility criteria"
which is very frustrating to me! In my application I have attached my license number and everything.
I'll definitely send an email to them to clarify that, also send an email to OBN (ohio board of nursing). In the worst case, I can go in person with this public records request, they're 3 hours of drive from my house though.
Wow I did nothing and they let me take my CBT now.
The email is like this
"Next steps towards your registration
We've checked your eligibility and reviewed your qualification and we're happy to tell you that you can apply to join our register."
It literally the second day of my application. My plan is to go to UK in August this year. Anyway! Long way to go.
Best wishes in your journey across the pond. ?

Hi, I am new here. I have the same problem with my application in UK. I am a USRN and I already submitted and paid for my NMC (UK), I am a bit stuck right now. I do not know if I have to call the TEXAS BON and notify them that I have UK application and my license need to be verified by them so my application can proceed. It's been a week since I paid and submitted my application to NMC. What should I do? Thank you.

Hi! I can gave you much suggestion sorry, I called my Ohio BON at that time but the lady answered had absolutely no idea. I thought to call one more time the next but then the next day NMC said they already verify my license. So apparently did nothing.

Hi RizRn07!
I am in the same boat as you! Been over a month waiting for TEXAS BON, called them and the lady who answered seemed confused and not sure what to say. Have you had any luck?

Hello Kishiinwonderland! I hope you're already settled and enjoying working and traveling here in the UK. Btw, I'm also a USRN and presently here in the UK with my family. I'm contemplating applying for a working visa since my hubby's job contract here in the UK is 3 years. I really appreciate if you could give me some guidance on how to start the process. TIA
