Many U.S. NP programs do accept Canadian students. Here are some general steps and considerations:

  • Research individual programs. Each NP Program has its own admissions policies. Look for programs that specifically mention international students or have a history of accepting Canadian applicants.
  • Prerequisites. Ensure you meet the prerequisite coursework and clinical experience requirements. Some programs may require specific undergraduate courses.
  • Credential evaluation. You might need to have your academic credentials evaluated by a recognized agency, such as CGFNS or World Education Services (WES).
  • GRE requirements. Check if the program requires the GRE, as some may waive this requirement for Canadian students.
  • Language proficiency. If English is not your first language, you may need to provide proof of English proficiency (e.g., TOEFL scores).

Familiarize yourself with the application process, including deadlines, required documents, and any interviews. Look into tuition rates for international students and any available scholarships or financial aid options.

This is not an endorsement, but D'Youville accepts international students.

Good luck!
