Nursing Students General Students

So I'm currently in a 3-2 biology/ nursing dual degree program i have one semester left then i will be transferring over to another university to complete my nursing portion but because i am a transfer student i was push back one semester which leaves me with a 7 month gap before i start my nursing classes. I spoke to a couple of people and they told me about the army nurse reserves. I went to a recruiter today and they explained everything and told me about the 68 whiskey program (a.k.a medic) that i can complete within that time frame and be back in time for school. I'm not sure if to go through with it or not. Does anyone have any prior experience with this program or with the army reserve??????

Military. Com has GREAT message boards, you can probably find more information there.

I was in the Navy and that sounds like a tight time frame. The military doesn't work around you, you work around it. Nothing against recruiters but their word holds little weight. Could you go through boot and that program, absolutely. Will it definitely work out that way, no. There are no guarantees. You could still be away when school starts. Something to consider.

For what it's worth I absolutely LOVE being in the military and I miss it a lot. I highly recommend it but I don't know if this is a good time for you.

Thank you!!! That is the only thing i am worrying about: the time. Im still giving it some thought though. I will definitely check out that website.
