UPMC Hamot/Gannon CRNA 2018

Nursing Students SRNA

Published

Hey Guys! I'm just wondering if anyone else has applied to the 2018 UPMC Hamot/Gannon CRNA MSN program that starts in January?! I haven't seen much information or personal experiences regarding the program and the interview/application process so was interested to see if anyone else has any good info! Fingers are crossed for an interview and am excited to chat with other perspective students!!

I heard should be by email. Hopefully we will hear by tomorrow! Has anyone applied anywhere else in the meantime?

I had applied to Pitt as well but I wasn't offered an interview due to my GRE score. I was 4 pts shy of their minimum requirements . I was unable to determine exactly what Hamot was looking for in a score beyond "satisfactory" but Pitt had actually defined min acceptable scores for the verbal, quant, and writing.

I live in AZ so I have also considered applying to Midwestern and University of Arizona.

What a bummer! School is definitely competitive and the process is brutal. My stats are GPA 3.69, GRE 305, 6 years as RN, 3 years trauma ICU, CCRN, TCRN, ACLS, BLS, PALS, ACLS instructor, BLS intructor, PALS instructor, unit based council leader, Charge RN. Anyone care to share their Stats?

I just called to ask and she said both email and real mail and we should find out today

Hamot is my first choice but if I don't get in I'm likely going to apply to university at buffalo this fall. I have 2 years neuro icu, one yr at a major stroke center and one year at a level 1 trauma center, ccrn, 311 GRE, 3.72 Gpa, belong to a couple unit committees, and all the other min requirements

Received the interview invite today via email!

Looks like I'll be interviewing too! Coming from Idaho myself. First interview for a CRNA school, I'm very excited!

Does anyone know how many applicants are going to be interviewed? It seems that everyone is interviewing on July 22. That is a lot of ppl to interview in one day!

Last year my friend said they interviewed around 32 people, but I have no idea how many they plan to interview this year. Has anyone received additional info regarding the interview day yet?

Hey guys! I know of 3 other ppl interviewing besides myself. Like me, they are all local. I haven't heard anything else about the interview day. I am excited and so nervous!! Good luck!!

Hey guys! I am interviewing on the 22nd as well. I am from the Pittsburgh area with 3 years experience trauma ICU. I have interviewed at one other school, but this one sounds much more laid back. Good luck to everyone!
