Hi Everyone! This topic thread is for those applying to UPENN BSN/MSN program summer 2013. I hope we can create a support network here!

I will be applying to the nurse-midwifery and WHNP program and have begun writing my personal statement. Their application should be completely available July 15th but you should be able to create an account. Good luck everyone!

hey guys and gals! I know some of us on here are super stoked and excited about Penn, so i wanted to update everyone my penn portal has finally been updated! same for everyone else?

I just logged onto MyApplicant portal and it indeed has updated. However, it states that my recommendations and transcripts have not been completed....Anyone else seeing that? I assume it just hasn't updated since recommendations were submitted online so it's not like it could've gotten lost in the mail.

atomicgirl - My transcripts were also not received. I wrote Filomena today and I will let you know what she says.

Do you have any classes "in-progress"? I do. I wonder if they are referring to the transcripts we will send at the end of the semester.

I have classes in progress too. But my application says "outstanding application materials"

Hey guys, I don't think that's accurate yet because mine says I'm missing my application, application essay, and a teacher recommendation (all false).

If you received an interview invitation, they most definitely have your transcripts :)

Mine says that I'm missing the application fee & a recommendation as well. I am positive everything was provided (wasn't the application all done online?!) I guess perhaps it has not been updated...

Yes, I remember them saying that when it DOES update to not be concerned because it's not accurate the first week or two.

Mine also says that it's missing my transcripts and teacher recommendation. I'll give them a call after the holidays to be sure and let you all know what they say =)

Yeah mine also says that I'm missing a teacher recommendation. I feel like they just haven't finished updating the statuses for the time being.

Good luck to everyone at interviews! I AM a little bummed since it sounds like acceptance rate of applicants interviewed is around 25%. Wonder if that's different for anesthetist program since they require in-person only. That's what I'm going for so hoping it's worth the cost.

nik5849 - i'm also interviewing for nurse anesthesia...not too sure what to expect in terms of the number of interviewee's and acceptance rate for the same reason - the mandatory in-person. Let me know if you want to meet up before hand.
