2013 UPenn BSN/MSN Applicants

Hi Everyone! This topic thread is for those applying to UPENN BSN/MSN program summer 2013. I hope we can create a support network here!

I will be applying to the nurse-midwifery and WHNP program and have begun writing my personal statement. Their application should be completely available July 15th but you should be able to create an account. Good luck everyone!

I'm really nervous as well! I wouldn't expect anything today though, because they are probably closed for Veteran's Day. I'd be expecting something by Wednesday, I think. AHH! So nerve wracking...

Oh yeah, I totally forgot it's Veteran's Day today... (I'm working in the ED right now, this place never closes ._.) Wednesday sounds about right! What a horrible wait :nailbiting:

What do you do in the ER, kdiem? It's definitely going to be nerve wracking but just keep yourself busy and hope for the best!!! It's going to be okay :)

Dear Penn Nursing Applicant:

Thank you for your application to the Accelerated BSN/MSN program for the Pediatric Primary Care NP program. You have been invited to interview by the faculty. Your interview may be held in person or via phone.

The in person interviews will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012 the event will be held on the Penn campus in the Claire M Fagin Hall. The event will include a faculty interview, campus and lab tours, and lunch with current students, please plan to be available between 9AM- 3PM. A detailed agenda will be sent closer to the interview date.

I got an email about the interview as well. Totally psyched!I am confused though--did everyone get an interview? I think most but not all applicants are interviewed. Was anyone not given an interview? Is it only the most competitive applicants, or only those they wanted to ask follow up questions to?

Which specialty was yours for, lifeismuzik?

I called Penn and asked if they would be emailing all week, or just today, and he said it would be throughout the week and that they literally just started today, and that there was a much larger applicant pool this year than last. He said it was pretty much rolling. When did you guys submit your applications?
