UPenn 2018 ABSN / Second Degree

Hello, all!

Anyone else applying just to the ABSN program at UPenn for a May 2018 start? I noticed no one had started a separate thread for the program, so now as we all await interview emails, I thought it made sense to start one.

Has anyone received an email to interview yet? I know I'm still waiting...

Still waiting too! I haven't turned in my fall grades yet. Hopefully when we do, it'll speed up the process! :)

I have not heard anything about interviews yet! I submitted my fall grades on November 16th and they did not send me a response to that either.

Did anyone have a hard time submitting grades? My prof. cited "legal reasons" as to why he won't sign off on my midterm grade sheet, even though he submitted grades to the registrar.

Does anybody else's application portal still say "materials needed"? I contacted admissions last week before the holiday and they said they have my transcripts and will upload them, but still haven't. I'm sure the BSN-only applicants are on the back burner while they are focusing on BSN/MSN interviews; however, I still can't help but feel anxious that my application specifically is not being considered which is why they haven't bothered uploading my transcripts even though they confirmed they have them. I'm submitting my mid-term grade report today since my professor finally got it back to me, so hopefully that will help move things along.

My school doesn't have midterm grades - I have to wait until finals end in two weeks to submit Fall grades. When should we hear about interviews? Technically today is the first day correct?

I believe it said in that first email we got from FC that ABSN could be invited/contacted to interview anywhere from November 14 to January 31.

Do you guys think that the ABSN are far less likely to get a spot than those who were originally MSN/BSN that didn't make the MSN portion?

I was wondering the same thing... I'm not sure. It seems like the MSN ones who were only offered an ABSN interview got that interview before they started reviewing our ABSN applications.

Have ya'll gotten any sort of confirmation that they have received your midterm grade report? I dont see it anywhere in the checklist and they never emailed me back.

I haven't gotten any sort of confirmation about receiving midterm grades yet either. Im assuming they're probably EXTREMELY busy with the MSN applicants. We probably won't hear anything until they're done. Kinda sucks; feels like we get less of a review
