I completed the MSN at UOP and now I am thinking about a post masters certificate program to become an NP. I recently got in contact with Jhons Hopkins University. They are reviewing my info from UOP, initially they said they may not accept my Masters because it did not include clinicals!!! I am very upset my this - I feel I have been mislead. Any suggestions??

Depends on which MSN you did at UofP. I did the MSN with concentration in management and leadership - it was a nonclinical MSN. So...when I went back to do my post-MSN APN (adult health CNS), yes, indeed I did have to do all the clinicals (578 hours).
Did you get a clinical MSN?
I do not believe UOP has a clinical MSN. The post master certificate programs I have seen all have anywhere from 500 to 700 clinical hours. I do not understand the problem. with the certificate I would have clinical hours like you to complete. Hopefully I will hear from JHU next week. In the mean time I am getting info on other programs that are online. I would rather do an online program anyway. JHU does not have an online program.
Thank you very much for your response
