I don't have first hand experience with it, but I know of three recent graduates and all seem very happy with it. Two went from my town (about 4 hr by car) to UNM, and are now back living here practicing. One is practicing as a PCP, the other in cardiology. The third is now practicing in another small town in NM, also as a PCP. She graduated less than 6 mo ago, so I don't know much about how she is doing, but the first two are very happy with their education, and have turned out to be well respected providers in the community.

All of the students I know of found at least some of their preceptors. I believe, but am not certain that the program will find your preceptors if you don't have a preference, but they might be anywhere in the state. That is from memory of discussions several years ago, so I could be wrong on that, you might want to talk to the program or recent graduates to get more recent information.

Thanks for the info! Maybe I can find some recent grads. I've been wondering how much of the didactic part is online.

Thanks so much for the info!
