Hi there-
I'm an Oregon L/D RN and trying to narrow down my choices for CNM programs. So far, UofU is my #1 choice, but I would love to pick the brain of a current student if anyone is willing.
My main questions:
1) Did you take any of the general courses as a non-matriculated student prior to starting the program? This has been recommended, but I am curious about how many you took at one time, which ones, and how the financial issues were worked out. If you did take them, how soon prior to starting the program did you take them?
2) Were/are you able to work as an RN during the program? If so, would you be willing to suggest a great unit that is understanding of Masters students. I would need to start working as soon as we moved to SLC from Oregon, prior to school starting, possibly as soon as next summer.
3) I am studying right now for the GRE, what score do I *really* need to get on this insane test?
4) Are you in the CNM, WHCNP, or CNM/WHCNP program?
Any advice or info is totally welcome :-) You can PM me, email me, whatever.
Thanks so much!
