University of Wisconsin- La Crosse

I finally heard back and I got an interview! Who else did?

Has anybody else been accepted to the program? I just received an offer to the Masters program starting in 2018 and I'm curious who my classmates will be.

I was accepted to the masters program as well.

Sweet! Are you going to accept the position?

We are debating. This is my number one choice in schools so it's likely I will accept. I'm from Utah and was accepted at my local school so it's a big decision. Where are you from?

Rochester, MN just down the road from Lacrosse. I was accepted at Mayo as well but decided the DNP route wasn't the best fit. I absolutely loved lacrosse and the program. They are very down to earth and I appreciate how well integrated their program is. 27 months can't be beat for what you get there. I'm pretty excited. Where are you from in utah? Are you married? Have any kids?

So you are for sure accepting in La Crosse? We're tou accepted for the masters or DNP program? Yeah I think the program in La Crosse is a slam dunk. Solid program. I am married with a little 2 year old girl and another one on the way. (Just to make life more difficult. Haha) I live just south of Salt Lake City. What about yourself?

I told them from the beginning I was only interested in the Master's. If i wanted a DNP I would have come to Mayo because as an employee I would have complete tuition reimbursement. I just can't stomach a DNP program unless absolutely necessary. Lacrosse was my 1st choice and I'm ecstatic to be in. I'm married with 7 kids (got you beat on the life more difficult part)! It's going to be an awsome adventure. My personal email address is [email protected] if you would like to connect further down the road. If you shoot me an email I'll send you my phone number. It's nice to make a few contacts before the program starts.

And yes, I've already told them I'm accepting.

7 kids! That's awesome! You're wife is a saint. Especially to allow you to go to CRNA school haha. The DNP at Mayo Clinic would be awesome. But that's a long program right? Like 40 months or something? I definitely think the 27 months is a no brainer. All clinicals close by and a very reputable program. I will definitely shoot you an email. And maybe we can find the others that were accepted as well.

I can't argue with the saint part.....that she is! However, I can honestly say our lives were probably more hectic when we had 3 kids under the age of 5 than it is now. At some point those little hurricain mess-makers become functional participants in the household. You might be in for more of a roller coaster in school than I am.

I have officially accepted my position into the masters program! Looks like I'm moving to Wisconsin!

Welcome to the club! Can't wait to meet you.
