Anyone here attending UWF's FNP program? How is it? Any input is appreciated

Just finished 1st semester. It is a busy program, but it is doable.

Is it a lot of essays?

The first semester includes Advanced Physical Assessment, which includes Shadow Health (digital patient assessment), exams and discussion boards. The other 2 classes, population health and Foundation of Nursing are more on discussion boards and papers, etc.

Specializes in Geriatrics, rehabilitation, HMO Clinical Quality.

Are the exams proctored or do they use responses lockdown browser? The BSN program wasn’t and they were open book and sometimes with more than one attempt allowed. Is the FNP program the same?

We use Respondus with webcam and only one attempt.

Specializes in Goal: MSN in Women's Health/Family Pract.

Hi PacificaRN,

Congratulations on being accepted and finishing your first semester. By now, I’m guessing you’ve finished the first year. Have you started clinicals yet? Do they help you with clinical placement?

Thanks!

Hey PacificaRN,

I know some online programs require travel to the university for the health assessment portion to complete the head-to-toe. Is that required for this program ? If not then do you guys only use Shadow Health? ... Another question for testing purposes are the professors well preparing you for exams?
