Hello everyone,

I have finished up my application for the University of West Florida's MSN FNP program for Fall 2021. Talked with my advisor today who is going to forward on my completed application. I haven't seen any posts about UWF Fall 2021 applicants so far and I was just wondering who else out there has applied to UWF's Fall 2021 program!

Good morning,

Have you found out if you’ve been accepted into the program yet? I found out Friday that I was accepted!! I would like to connect with those who have been accepted and maybe start a facebook group.

Congrats!! I was not accepted but placed as an alternate. This is my 2nd attempt with UWF so if I do not make it, I am going to attend elsewhere. I am not sure where I am going wrong? I have a 3.7 cumulative GPA, an alumni of UWF, and leadership experience, but still not accepted. I am still hopeful but won't get my hopes too high. Congrats nonetheless and I wish you success!

Congrats! I was placed on the alternate list as well.
I’m a Florida resident, but husband is military so we’re currently living in a different state and I was admitted to a local brick and mortar a few weeks ago that I have already accepted. So it all worked out. ??

That’s great! I haven’t started a facebook group yet, but I can. I will let you know when/if I create one and what I name it.

I was accepted!! I just got the email today that a seat opened up! So excited!

My advisement appointment is this Friday. When is yours??  I’m nervous about getting everything set. I’m planning on going part time September 1. I currently work in a ridiculously busy ER. I would love to have a support group through this. [email protected] if anyone wants to get together.

Mine was today. It only lasted about 15-18 min long. Everything we talked about over the phone was outlined in an email she sent after our conversation. I am registered for classes now. Im registered for Advanced Health Assessment, Foundations of Nursing Science and Population Health Promotion and Management. 

I am not sure if it's the same for everyone, but Advanced Health Assessment starts 8/23/21 and ends 12/11/21. Foundations of Nursing Science starts 8/23/21 and ends 10/16/21 and finally Population Health Promotion starts 10/18/21 and ends 12/11/21. So taking 2 classes at all times. Projected graduation will be Fall 2023.

I currently work Monday through Friday 8am-4pm in Public Health as the Nurse Educator at the Health Department. I will probably have to find another job next year before clinical start which I am very nervous about. 

I will email you so that you will have my email address as well. I am very excited, but also very nervous!
