University of Washington DNP application 2022

Published

Hello, I started this thread to get support. I turned in my application to the population health and leadership track at UW. I know we have the online essay portion coming up. Has anyone ever applied before and had to do this? Has anyone ever done an online essay? Im looking for tips and some solidarity.

Good luck to everyone!

First time applying here Applied to the FNP program at UW. I was tossing and turning between choosing FNP or Peds primary care track early on but I think I made the right decision.

The idea of a timed essay is stressful but I've heard its not weighted super high? Good luck!

That's great news that the essay isn't heavily weighted. Who did you hear that from?

Completed the online essays last night. 14 minutes is not a lot of time. But I felt I got my ideas through. Having never used canvas, the interface was tripping me up.

I did mine too. 14 mins was not a lot of time! I hope my answers weren't too "weak". I prepared by answering a ton of star questions and interview questions.

And now I guess we just wait. Haha. At least February is a quick month. I'm surprised this thread isn't as active as previous years when searching. I wonder if that means less folks applied or..?

I know. I find that strange as well. Well, I'm crossing my fingers for you! I hope we both receive acceptance letters!

We should be hearing back this week or next week I think! Any one else apply?

I'm anxiously awaiting an email from [email protected]

I hope we hear back soon!! The last email I got was that the proposed date for all admission, rejection and wait lists should be the first week of March.

Specializes in ER, Med/Surg.

Has anyone received an acceptance email/phone call/status update on their application page yet? I'm so nervous!

Nothing! I've been checking multiple times a day!

So I talked to another applicant via Reddit who called the school.

Decisions won't be out until after March 7th.
