University of Toronto (U of T) Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing NP 2021

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone!

I have applied to the NP Program at U of T Bloomberg for 2021, paediatric specialty. My file currently says "under review" and all my documents are received. I'm wondering if anyone has received an offer of admission yet? How long did it take to hear of a decision once you were under review? Thanks!!

I am rooting for you guys! Please keep me posted!!

I received an email saying decision has been made. And I checked the portal. I applied for the Post-Master's though so that might be the reason why. I got accepted for the Adult-NP Stream. Hang in there guys!

Congrats that’s amazing! I’m really hoping we all hear back this week now. Wondering, did you receive any information about scholarships or awards with the acceptance? The website states all incoming master for nursing students will receive some sort of award. Just wanting to know if that info is included with the acceptance or comes out later...

I did not qualify for awards as post masters NP is a PT program and awards are only for FT students unfortunately:(  But I am sure it will be included as mine included EVERYTHING (e.g other requirements to submit).

Congrats! So exciting. This gives me some hope that we will hear soon.

As an aside, I'm wondering if any of you are currently working in Toronto / GTA and have advice for finding casual employment. I'm relocating from Alberta and I'm finding that casual jobs are few and far between compared to out west ?

I’ll also be relocating (in the hopeful event of my acceptance!) and will be looking to work casually as well. I’m hoping to find something covid related, like testing, immunization, or contact tracing...haven’t looked too much but I’m sure something will come up.

Check public health options for all the PHUs nearby! I recently just started with Public Health and will be dropping casual in ICU! Once you guys have heard from U of T, connect with me privately and we can create a groupchat maybe.

This wait is doing me in! Originally supposed to be end of March and here we are heading into late April and no news ? was hopeful for this week but it’s just gotta be next week for sure!!

Crossing my fingers for this week! ??????

It feels like they’re really making us wait until the very last possible day ?. I’ve been checking my email every 30 mins LOL

I’m getting worried that since the April 30 deadline is so close they’ll just wait until they have all the applications in to start sending out decisions...I mean thankfully it’s this Friday but still. It’s looking more and more like it’s gonna be May before we hear anything.

Has anyone sent an email to the admission's coordinator? I am rooting for you guys!! I know the feeling and the moment I gave up and checking my portal was the moment I got an email.. I got an email around 6-630pm so just fingers crossed!
