University of Tennessee CRNA Interview Process

Published

I just found out that I have an interview at University of Tennessee Knoxville's CRNA Program. I am super excited and was wondering if there is anyone else out there who has also been offered an interview or has past experience with the interview process at UTK. I hope you guys are out there and I look forward to chatting with you!

Did anyone here anything today?

My husband had an interview last Thursday and we haven't heard anything. I know 2 that received acceptance calls yesterday and another that hasn't heard anything yet, either.

Not anything. Are you sure that your friend got a call? I haven't heard of calls from anyone else??? I am stressed!!!

Cah2385,

I am 100% positive three people I know have been accepted. RNBG522 knows of two people who were accepted. It's not to say that we do not know the same people, but I am sure some acceptance phone calls have been made. I have been accepted to my second choice school, so I'm disappointed, but either way I will be starting a program next year. Have any of you guys applied/been accepted to any other programs?

Nope, I only applied to UT. Another friend of mine only did as well and she has not heard anything either. A guy she works with got an acceptance call from UT last week and he HAS NOT EVEN FINISHED HIS BACHELORS and only has 4 months of critical care experience!!! That totally shocked me!!! What was your second choice school?

Do you all have your CCRN? Or know if the people that got accepted so far do? My husband does not and I feel like that would have definitely helped. The two I know that were accepted have their CCRN.

I have 8 years STICU/CVICU experience in a level one center, CCRN, TNCC, EMT, ACLS, PALS, BLS. 3.8 GPA and have completed organic chem 1& 2, Chem 1 & 2, and physics 1 & 2 all with A's from ETSU. I know my references were great because they all wanted me to read them! I just don't know what else they wanted!

My friend also has 4 years experience with her CCRN AND she works at UT CVICU and this is her second time interviewing and she has not heard anything either!

cah2385, your stats are impressive! Maybe they will make some more calls tomorrow. My husband wasn't even going to apply this year because he only has 1.5 years ICU experience and doesn't have his CCRN, but he did at the last minute and got an interview. We were definitely surprised. I guess he will know what to expect when applying next year, at least.

Pretty sure all the calls were made on Thursday and Friday so I am pretty bummed out! Then I hear that someone with hardly any experience and an associates degree gets accepted...that really hurts my heart! : (

Anyway, good luck to your husband now and in the future! : )

If decisions have been announced, I would think they would have updated the graduate admission application on UTs portal.

Just curious if anyone else has heard anything r/t acceptance announcements? Still no updates on UTs portal page.

Nope. The secretary said that they are sending out letters today to everyone that did not get accepted
