University of South Alabama Fall 2016 DNP Applicants

Good Day, I am starting this thread to bring together people who have applied for the Fall DNP program at the University of South Alabama. I applied to the Dual Role DNP route and have been told letters would go out mid-April. Has anyone heard anything different? Any other valuable information? I had an instructor graduate from USA's Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program and she spoke highly of them; has anyone heard anything about USA (good or bad)? I wish you all the best and hope we can be in the same cohort together. Hopefully we can talk on here and share updated information as one of us finds it.

Well on the Facebook page for the USA DNP/MSN someone announced today that she had received an acceptance email for fall 2016. I have not..

Awesome, thanks for the info #Appalachianrn. I have not received anything yet. Still hoping and waiting. I did receive a financial aid email for USA, but I do not think that means anything. Just that FASFA was received. Stranger things have happened though.

I too am awaiting for an acceptance letter. Like you two I have also received an email about FASFA but no acceptance letter. Hopefully sooner rather than later. I have applied for the FNP program

I haven't heard anything 😳 anyone apply for MSN-DNP adding new specialty. I got an email on March 1st saying they will email decisions at the end of the month and mail them in April.

I applied for MSN-DNP adding new specialty. I'm already a primary pediatric nurse practitioner. I am applying for pediatric acute care.

I heard the same thing about the decision letters. Good luck everyone!

I called today they said 8 weeks after the deadline... So the 4/15 they should be mailed out... Fingers crossed its then b/c I've heard of past classes hearing back in late May

The college of nursing sent me an email informing me that decision letters will be mailed today. Good luck to everyone.

That is awesome @phillycpnp-pc. My anxiety just sky rocketed, but I wish everyone the best. I didn't get an email though. Did you contact them asking them? Or maybe I'm not on the winning email list.

No you are not missing anything...I emailed them this morning. I was a stalker...lol I'm just so impatient. I applied back in October...I just can't wait anymore. I also have anxiety mixed with excitement... I will be so disappointed if I don't get in.. USA is my first choice.....Good luck to us all.
