Figured I would open this thread up for those applying to the anesthesia program at University of Scranton. I know their Applications are about to close on Oct 1st 2023. Good Luck to all! 

I just received an invite to interview in November! just wondering if anyone had insight into their specific interview style! good luck to everyone :)

they're very nice and try to make you feel comfortable. no clinical questions, mostly EI questions. know what's going on in the political landscape regarding CRNAs also. they're big on policy/regulations

what resources would you recommend to learn more about the political landscape and policy/regulations? AANA?

Yeah could you elaborate a little more on what political landscape and what I should know

It's nothing specific they just ask you a general question on what's going on in the regulatory/political side of the field. so for example you can talk about how the VA is trying to prevent independent practice of CRNAs in VA hospitals. they are big on independent practice for CRNAs and protecting their practice. I just used AANA when I was prepping 

I would also check out the book watchful care. they seemed impressed that I brought it up

probably (though just an educated guess). they usually send out invites in a wave and I know some of the committee was on vacation in early October

I got a call last Tuesday for a mid-Nov interview. I submitted 3rd week of September.

anyone have any updates? whats everyones stats? for people who interviewed did they say when decisions go out? are they still inviting people for interviews

Does anyone know if scranton requires you to continue working in an ICU after accepting the offer?
