Starting this topic for those who applied to the University of Scranton CRNA program to start in 2021. Has anyone heard anything back yet? Best of luck to everyone.

@mera712 Congrats! Best of luck to you. That's crazy, 120?! I know in years past it's been around 60-75 candidates that they've interviewed. Maybe they are able to interview more since it was over zoom and a much shorter amount of time. Now I am even more nervous! LOL

Thanks! Yeah it’s a lot, they said they had a huge applicant pool this year. Don’t be nervous though, you got this! They were extremely nice.

Hello everyone,

I have been a follower of this forum for a long time but responding for the first time. I also applied to Scranton CRNA program and received phone call this morning for scheduling an interview. It's on the 12 th of November. I read that there are 150 applicants for 24 slots. I also read good things about Scranton. Can anyone please add any interview tips from previous posts? Good luck to the ones who are scheduled to have interview this week end.

Hello everyone,

Congrats and Good luck @ mera712. Please mention some questions that you got for your interview. I have mine on the 12th this week. I never had any zoom interview in the past.

@KalaiCRNA2020 Questions were all personally-based, they are just trying to get to know you. It was very relaxed and they were all very nice! No reason to stress, they more so just ask questions about your background and why you will be a good fit for their program. My interview was about 20 minutes.

@CVICUCCRN17 Thank you for your response.

Congrats to all who had interviews! Super nervous for mine this week. In the past years there were 10 question quiz exams before the interviews, which were obviously in person. With everything being remote this year were you guys required to take an online exam before or were all the questions personality based? Were they one on one interviews or did you have to interview with other applicants? This is my first Zoom interview so I’m obviously nervous! Thanks so much in advanced!

@AspiringSRNA No quiz as in years past, all over zoom with the director, Ann Culp, assistant director and clinical director. No interviews with other applicants and currents SRNAs. Don't be nervous! It was very laid back and they are just trying to get to know you, they only ask personally-based questions and are all very nice and make you feel comfortable ?

Nothing yet, any idea as to if it will be this week or next week?

Looking at the past two years' threads they seem to make their decisions the 3rd week of December. Do we have to put a deposit if accepted?
