Hi, just thought I'd start a thread for University of Rochester's ABPNN Fall 2013 applicants...
So...I am trying to decide between going to U of R and a nursing program in Tennessee (Union University). They are both great programs with pros and cons to each. My biggest fears and worries of Rochester is the cost of tuition and the snowy/gray weather. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions? Thank you!
Hi guys! I am in the APNN program at the U of R and will be graduating this August. This program is really great. The faculty is so supportive and they really make an effort to make sure that you feel confident in your skills. Yes, the program is intense, but you'll be okay if you just work hard and do not procrastinate. I'm from California, so I was really apprehensive about moving to the East Coast. The snow was not TOO bad, and its so nice watching the seasons change.
Please let me know if you guys have any specific questions about the program. Best of luck!

Rochester is used to the snowy weather. From what I've seen, a lot of the housing available has the shoveling, etc included. I don't think we'll have any issues with walking through the slush. Do pack some boots though
I also applied for the fall 2013 cohort. I called today to see if they received my spring prerequisite grades and she said they did. I am guessing that is bad news? I think by now they know who they are accepting or not. I had my interview in March. In any case congrats to everyone who made it !
