University of Rochester - ABPNN Fall 2013

Published

Hi, just thought I'd start a thread for University of Rochester's ABPNN Fall 2013 applicants...

oh I see..thanks for the info! :)

I was told that they are still reviewing some applications and you will get a phone call. All letters are sent out at the same time.

So...I am trying to decide between going to U of R and a nursing program in Tennessee (Union University). They are both great programs with pros and cons to each. My biggest fears and worries of Rochester is the cost of tuition and the snowy/gray weather. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions? Thank you!

Hi guys! I am in the APNN program at the U of R and will be graduating this August. This program is really great. The faculty is so supportive and they really make an effort to make sure that you feel confident in your skills. Yes, the program is intense, but you'll be okay if you just work hard and do not procrastinate. I'm from California, so I was really apprehensive about moving to the East Coast. The snow was not TOO bad, and its so nice watching the seasons change.

Please let me know if you guys have any specific questions about the program. Best of luck!

Mcdonaldk- I got your message but can't message you back since I have not been active for 15 days :( Can you send me your email so I can write back? Glad to hear that another Californian is considering this program!

Rochester is used to the snowy weather. From what I've seen, a lot of the housing available has the shoveling, etc included. I don't think we'll have any issues with walking through the slush. Do pack some boots though :headphone:

Slush is an understatement lol

Dear you all,

I am so glad to find u here. Just came across this post and went ahead registered on this site to leave my message. I actually got the call from (name redacted per site ToS) a few days ago that brought me good news. Look forward to meeting u in September!!!!

Hi nermface,

Thanks for the Facebook link. Can't PM u back since not yet being active with 15 messages. I am such a out-dated, old-fashioned women who has not been on Facebook. But I will soon create one and meet you gals there.

Sounds good!

I also applied for the fall 2013 cohort. I called today to see if they received my spring prerequisite grades and she said they did. I am guessing that is bad news? I think by now they know who they are accepting or not. I had my interview in March. In any case congrats to everyone who made it !
