University of Portland and Linfield decision 2017-2018

I applied to UP and Linfield for the 2017-2018 school year I was wondering if anyone had received acceptance letters or know when they are sending them out!

Hey!

I also applied to Linfield and Univerity of Portland. I just got my letter from UP today and unfortunately, I got wait listed I don't know where I stand on the list but I just emailed them to see. I have not heard anything from Linfield, however.

I'm sorry to hear you got waitlisted but hopefully someone will get accepted into another school and you'll get a spot!

I still haven't receive anything. I was hoping for something in the mail today but it just came and nothing. Maybe monday but the wait is too long!

Do you know of anyone else who have received a letter?

Dalinam, I just got my letter yesterday and I am in! I called the admissions office earlier this week and they told me that they were sending out letter within the next week or two. So you should be getting yours soon. I hope you get some good news soon. trvu76, hopefully you will be getting a spot as well. You still got a chance! I hope to see you both next year.

Congrats NRAnde91! Thats very exciting and makes me more nervous. Other people who live in my town received their letters a couple of days ago so I'm starting to worry. May I ask what your GPA was? Did you have pervious experience in a hospital or like setting?

Thanks guys! I don't know how competitive it is this year, but I am crossing my fingers that I will get off the wait list. I also applied to other schools so I hope to get at least into one of them. This is my first year applying so it is sure a scary process!! Congrats NRAnde91 on getting accepted!

I also applied at OHSU, PCC, Clackamas, and Chemeketa CC. Did you apply anywhere else?

I did get a response for my email about the wait list. They just said that the office of admissions will make a decision after June, and I will be contacted directly if I get pulled off :/ Did not really answer my question much about finding out where I stand on the wait list, so I am going to give them a call next week.

I was nervous all week. My cumulative gpa is 3.8, and science was 4.0. I am still taking my ethics class and Old Testament next term so I'm hoping to not struggle in those classes. I have been currently working in the Emergency Department for the past year at Salem Health. But I have been a CNA for 2 1/2 years now. Im sure you have nothing to worry about. Did you apply for the providence scholarship?

Yes, I also applied at Linfield. I'm regretting my decision to only apply at two places. I know its still early and UP is the first to send out letters but I've very nervous especially seeing that others have already received theirs.

That's how I've felt all week. I have a feeling this weekend is going to feel extra long. I did apply to the providence scholarship, did you?

You definitely have a lot of experience, something which I lack. That what I've been the most fearful of when it comes to being denied. :/ Still hoping for the best though, my GPA is right around yours so fingers crossed!
