What Members Are Saying (AI-Generated Summary)

Members are discussing the number of seats offered in a program, with some confusion about the exact number of full-time and part-time spots available. There is also debate about the fairness of offering acceptances early in the interview process and concerns about the scoring system. Additionally, members are inquiring about additional interview dates and waiting for acceptance notifications by the end of the month.

Hi all, just submitted my app on 11/10 and attended a zoom information session last night. Good luck everyone!

The excitement from you guys is palpable 😂. I am here refreshing my inbox to hopefully see if they've sent me an official offer/Pitt email link.

Just got an email update saying postponing more decisions until August 25th. I guess they are still waiting for a melt for some of us who are close to being moved up to waitlist.

Weirdly didn't get an official rejection. They're extending my timeline to the "week of August 25th". So im guessing if folks back out or something maybe I get one then. I won't hold my breath. Congrats again though to those that got their acceptances, you guys will crush it :D.

wonder how many people got this same email.

I wonder how that works. If full time people decline do they choose the people who got this email or do they pull the part time people to full time? I'm pretty sure  they don't offer part time if part time people give up their spot though?

Do we know any part-timers or Full-timers in here that declined their offer?

I think the part timers would move up to full time. During the call, they mentioned the likelihood of moving up

I would think part time would move to full time. People who got the email will be part time? They may be doing like this because 18 of the 20 part time last cohort were offered full-time admissions

It was implied to me over a phone call with someone from the school that if full-time spot open up, they would move up part-timers, also a full-time student can request to go part-time, and so on or so forth... so I guess they'd make those on a "waitlist" part-time if a spot opens?

Are you a part time admit?

Specializes in CTICU.

When I had my interview, the director said like almost everyone on the part time list moved up to the full time position that started in January. Obviously, a good chunk of people in this groups have received other offers so they know not everyone will say yes to them. I think the delayed decision is to eventually offer a part time spot once people move up from part time to start full time in January.

Has any part-timers received an official offer letter and a Pitt email setup as yet?
