University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Schools of Nursing Fall 2024

Hi everyone! I wasn't sure if there was a sub for this upcoming semesters class at any of the UPMC schools. With that, will anybody else be attending in the Fall of 2024 too?! I'll be attending Shadyside!

Hi! I just found out about this forum, but I will also be starting at UPMC Shadyside in the fall! I'm excited but very nervous

Awesome! I'm excited and very nervous too. Thankfully I did all of my prerequisites. All I have to worry about now are the nursing courses. Will you be attending the information session in May?

Woo, I'm trying to finish up all my pre-reqs before the fall to free up some time so I can work while in school. And yes, I plan on going to the info session!!

I plan on working too since I'll have a extra day. I want to apply for a hospital job and start before classes begin. Apparently, clinicals are Monday and tuesdsay, then class/lab is Thursday and Friday. So I plan on working Wednesday and weekends.

I didn't hear about the CPR class. Have we gotten an e-mail about it?

We did. It was in the email to register for the health screening. They have two slots, Morning and evening

Hey! Do either of you plan on working for UPMC during the program? If so, do you think that it would be better to do Casual or Part-Time? I have all of the prereqs out of the way, so I think I should be okay with Part-Time, not sure though
