Nursing Students SRNA

I just got my interview invitation, and will be there for the 4/13 date. I'm reaching out to see if anyone can recall the question type mix in the actual interview portion of the process (clinical vs personality), and would love some insight from current Pitt students. It would be nice to connect with others interviewing the same day.

They have 40 slots for the January 2019 cohort.

thanks so much! do you know if the other people you interviewed with had as high gre scores as you?

I'm not sure, I didn't ask.

Hello! I also interviewed on 4/13 and was told I would hear back by mid-may. Have you heard anything yet??

I haven't heard anything yet. I thought the deadline for decisions we were told was June 1st. Did you interview in the morning session or were you in my afternoon group in 4/13?

I also interviewed in the afternoon session on the 13th. I thought they said during the conclusion that we would hear something back by the 2nd week in May?

I know they were in the process of scheduling another interview day for sometime in May, but hadn't established a date quite yet. My guess is we'll hear back shortly after that. Hope we all get to start together in January!

I interviewed in the afternoon! I know they said mid-may or earlier so I was hoping to hear soon?? I k ow someone who applied for the May 1 deadline and hasn't heard anything about interviews yet so maybe that's the hold up? Anyone know anything more??

I interviewed with Pitt on March 29. I believe there was only one morning session during that date. At the end of the session they told our group that we would hear in April. Obviously, April has since come and gone, with no word from Pitt. I called them over a week ago to see what was going on. The only answer that I received was that no decisions had been made yet and there is no new timeline for when we might hear, just that "it might be soon". It's somewhat frustrating that the school expects us to meet their deadlines but apparently has no regard for their own self-imposed timetable.

So I went to pitt for undergrad and this is somewhat typical for them. They usually wait until all applications are in and all decisions have been made and then send out acceptance/rejection notices all at once. That being said- I was still hoping to hear by mid-May as they promised.

If I remember right, their web site says that those that applied by the early Feb 15th deadline are supposed to receive a response by June 1st. I've been considering that the expected time frame for a response, so I'm hoping it holds true. However, I also remember hearing that the priority deadline thing is more applicable to other graduate programs, and the CRNA one doesn't technically have a true "priority" deadline, so who knows.

Just received a call from Pitt today and was accepted!
