University of Phoenix Online - Prerequisites

Published

Hello! ?

Just wondering if anyone here has taken Human A&P I and/or II? I am wanting your personal opinion/experience about the difficulty level, what tests / homework / quizzes were like, etc.

All I see online (not on AllNurses) are somewhat bad reviews about University of Phoenix and their degree programs, but what about just INDIVIDUAL courses? I'm looking to be a more competitive nursing school applicant and really wanting to retake Human A&P I and II before applying.

Anything is greatly appreciated! ?

Does it have a lab? I don't believe it does. If there is no lab, it's probably a waste of your time and money.

You can see if your school accepts Portage Learning. It's regionally accredited and provides transcripts through Geneva College:

Again, ask the admissions office where you plan on applying.

Hey! Thanks for asking that question. I actually just called UoP today- they said both of their A&P I & II have lab components, which means I’d have 8 total credits after finishing the courses with them!

I will also also look into Portage Learning as well, thank you for the link!

Did you find out more or start A&P at Phoenix? The program I'm looking at accepts it, but they're unsure on Portage. I'm skeptical of a 7 week A&P course, but this would be a retake for me because my original courses were over 10 years ago.

Hello! I’ve taken all of my prerequisites through UoP and I absolutely loved them. I did everything on my own time and the labs weren’t hard at all. I made all A’s. The grades were posted very quickly as well. Any questions I did have, the teachers were excellent about explaining it in a more detailed way that I could understand.

Are there actual tests or anything to gauge your knowledge? I know the format of most of their classes is writing papers.
