University of Phoenix LPN TO BSN CA applicatns FOR 2012

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello everyone, I was wondering if anybody has attended to the LPN/BSN program for UOP in California. If so, how difficult or hard is to get accepted in to the program? How long does it take to complete the program? how many days do go to theory a week? How many days do you do clinicals per week and how long are the rotations?

I am hoping to be accepted for fall 2012 and I am going to the info session this coming month. Any information I will greatly appreciate it.:)

Cordially,

hello, are you currently enroll still in the lvn to bsn program in modesto(phoenix)? can you give insight of how the program is?

hello, how is the program? can you give me some insight about the program and the 3 classes you had to take are they hard cuz you are only one per wk?

I'm replying to both your posts! I am currently in the lvn to bsn program in Salida, Ca.I really enjoy it so far and have no complaints. It really works well for me since I have a family and a job. The classes you take are basically any prerequisites you would have to take to get into an lvn to BSN or ASN program, but if you haven't taken Any, they offer them all there for you, you would take them before you start your nursing classes. Each course can be anywhere from 5 to about 7 weeks long. Then you move on to the next course. I cannot say enough great things about this school and their staff. Everyone there is so helpful and friendly. I'm glad I made the decision to attend UOP who accepted me, as opposed to a couple other schools that did also. Not sure about the 3 classes you are talking about? It is all different for each person, depending on how many prerequisites you have taken and what can transfer in to their school. I think the classes are very do-able as long as you do your readings and assignments and ask questions from your professor if you need clarification you should be fine. Hope this info. helps you! Take Care.ps..you have to be a Licensed LVN to apply.

Hi misscandy,

your welcome and no problem at all and I've already accepted your as my friend so we can exchange email addresses.

As for quik248, I'm sorry that you did not get in. I'm sure you'll be a good candidate for next semester, better yet, something better might fall into place. Maybe Holy Names? Have you tried applying there. No worries, you have a goal and you will get there.

How is the program going?

Thanks very much for replying. I am suppose to do some prereq classes before starting my nursing classes. But, i wanted to know from someone who is actually in the program to let me know more about it cuz to be realistic only those who are in the program can really speak about it. did you have to take any prereq's or are you currently in the nursing classes? i also have a little one and that was my main concern. are the classes as hard as they say thats its hard to get good to great passing grades for the prereq's and nursing classes? omg i have so many questions but if you dont mind can i add you as a friend. Am still trying to figure out how this website works.

were you allowed to do any of your pre-reqs online? I am applying to the UofP lpn to bsn in Tempe, AZ and they told me I have to do them on campus. All of them are available online! I live in CA and would rather not move to do a once a week class when I can do it online until I am in the nursing cohort.
