University of the Pacific Nursing program Interview

Published

Hi Everyone,

I realized there is no post for university of the pacific new nursing program. I had an interview with them last week. If you had an interview or applied please reply.

So according to their student handbook (on their website) it says that they're going to make sure that the program is accredited by CCNE by 2023 so that the first cohort graduates from an accredited nursing program. It looks like they're in the process.

I beileve it depends on what you all want because since it's their first year running the program, it's probably going to be a little unorganized unfortunately, but it's kinda cool to be the first cohort too LOL. I would say if you have other options and prefer a solid program that knows what they're doing, then I would go for that.

However, I have faith that they'll get accredited by 2023 because of the different healthcare programs that they have developed. I wish you all the best of luck and I hope this helps ?

Hello everyone!

Are you guys now hearing back about your application status? I spoke to Holly Friday and was told they had a snag with nursing cas so it was delayed reviewing application that was submitted before the deadline and we should be hearing back this week? Anyone hear back yet?

I just had my interview yesterday and was told we would know by the end of next week. Also they have one more interview day which is next week Monday. I’m so anxious!

I am very nervous too. I have not heard anything yet. I believe they interviewed 17 candidate a day. If all the candidate show up ( which on my interview day I realized just 15 showed up). it means they interviewed 85 candidate total. Our chance is more than 50 percent. How was the interview?

My interview went pretty well and I felt it was pretty fast and the interviewers were really nice! I am not sure how big the class is going to be. Also, I don’t know when the interviewing began. I know 2/28 and 3/1 and 3/7 but I don’t know about any other days

48 student per cohort. And I thought they are going to have 5 days of interviews base on the information session I attended. But apparently they just had 3 days of interviews. believe me we are all going to get in :) . Do you know how many applicants they interviewed  yesterday?

is UOP your first choice?

Do you have any social media? Instagram? I can message you on there

I do not use social media ?

I also interviewed on 02/28. The directors were all very pleasant, and the questions were typical interview questions that focused more on emotional intelligence and problem solving.

Based on the interview sign up sheet for 02/28 and 03/01, it looked like there were 60+ slots available, most of which had people signed up. I'm not sure how many actually showed up though. They ended up adding more time slots the day before the interviews, so maybe they grouped it all together instead of doing another separate day.

I'm hoping we know soon!

Also - one of the interviewers mentioned that there will be on-campus orientation dates on April 19th and 20th, so I expect that they will have decisions out relatively quickly after completing interviews so that admitted students can plan on attending orientation.

Do you know if they will also let students know they have not been selected?

Certainly. All schools/programs send out decision letters. They are all typically sent at the same time.
