University of North Dakota PMHNP Program, Fall 2018

Hello everybody! So, I just got accepted into PMHNP school at UND, and am wondering if anybody has had any recent experience with that program? I'm curious as to what I'm in for, and I'm always up for some advice! Good looking out!

It has had significant changes and is having some challenges. 1 primary professor for most of the psych NP classes who is also the director - with no accountability. Also, they do not provide everyone with clinicals as they advertise. Hopefully, the program will improve, but at the moment, they are not the first program I would recommend. Very poor communication, no support for students and you need the mentality that you will be teaching yourself.

I'm going to second the recent feedback on UND's PMHNP degree. Three major curriculum / program overhauls in less than two years. Most of the good instructors are gone. It's really unfortunate. I chose this program due to its reputation, and that rep is no longer valid. If you think you can teach yourself from a book, don't mind a ton of busy work, and have a job that allows last minute changes, this may be the program for you.

Hi, how are you doing in your program? I will be starting in the fall of 2019 and will like reviews on your experience. Any info will be goods as there is not much out there about UND.

Can anyone provide a current update on the program and an honest review since 2018? Looking schools to apply now and just want a current opinion

It is so hard to decide which school I supposed to attend since many of them are online NP Program. Allnurse.com is so helpful to find/decide based on students experience. 

In 2018, University of North Dakoda, PMHNP program was review was so bad. Is still UND is a bd reputation in PMHNP? Thank you for your help.
