I had a 3.8 undergrad and 4.0 for pre recs. I was in another field after graduating for a few years and have been working in healthcare full time for a year. I’m still waiting to hear back from two other schools but UM is high up on my list ?

Hi there!

i got accepted into the accelerated program for spring 2020! Every deadline says "prior to orientation" does anyone know around when orientation will be? Let me know if you have an idea.. I'm assuming January? Or late December ?

They haven’t provided a specific date as of yet, but they said a week before classes... so it should be during the first week of January as classes begin 1/13.

So I received my acceptance and certificate of admission today. I put on my nursingcas I was taking my last prerequisite course starting the last half of summer but if was on portage so I explained it's at my own pace and may finish in september.. I ended up not needing to take the course this quickly which is the only reason I enrolled (for a different program I was planning on doing in fall but I decided not to) so I decided to drop the portage course because its 799$ online and why do that when I can just take it at my community college for half the price and actually get to do the lab in person and have time to understand the material.. On my admission it says must submit transcript for portage geneva college summer 2019 with passing grade. I see it says you must submit this prior to orientation. But this is the certificate so I need to sign it within the 2 weeks but Im no longer in that course and im now enrolled in the fall term at my state college. I submitted an academic update about a week ago on Nursing cas and added my new term (fall 2019) and changed to my community college but the certificate i received today had the old summer 2019 term with the portage.. they must have not seen my update on my application before forming the letter. I'm still going to be finishing the course in december. I just need them to change the term and where I'm taking the course at.. Do you think this will be an issue with my acceptance? I'm panicking because I received this tonight and I had no time to call the university to ask questions and have to wait until Monday. What do you guys think ?

My application still says "incomplete" which they notify us that it may say that up until a decision is made. It seems like everyone is/has received their acceptances by now. I submitted my application pretty late like right before the 8/1 deadline. Do you guys think its safe to say I most likely didn't get in or do you think they are still evaluating applications?

Also for those that got their acceptances, will they notify you when a change has been made to your cane link account or do you have to just keep checking it everyday?

@wcdream No, they won’t notify when it change to complete. Have you received any email from them regarding the status of your application, such as application received, application under review, etc?
