University of Miami (Spring 2019 ABSN)

Hey all,

Just wondering who else applied or is planning on applying to the Accelerated BSN program for spring 2019 at the University of Miami. My application is currently completed according to Nursing CAS and all my recommendations and official transcripts have arrived as well. I still have not heard anything from U Miami or Nursing CAS and I'm wondering what the time frame is to receive a response from either source. I know the school offers admissions on a rolling basis so my hope was to be one of the first applicants to get my application completed and submitted so they might look more fondly at it. I have yet to find another forum actively talking about this term but I guess it is because I was so ahead of the ball on this one.

My stats are:

3.0 cumulative GPA (from my undergrad)

3.15 psychology GPA

3.75 Prerequisite GPA (All A's except for a C+ in Stats)

I think my overall GPA when you combine all Undergraduate coursework together from both schools I took courses from would be around a 3.5

I am an active volunteer for my towns ambulance corps and have had past working experience in a psychiatric hospital setting working specifically with children and adolescents.

I'm just curious to hear from others who are applying as well as people who have been admitted to the program from past terms to give some insight on a timetable on what to expect with this process.
