Hey :)
Well back when I applied, I think 2009-2010, I had to write an essay because I was missing a few courses before I turned in my application. I had a 4.0 GPA but really I think what got them was my essay and recommendation letters. I made sure my essay explained my desires and goals to be a nurse in a mature way. My recommendation letters were from my AP professor who was an MD and adviser at MDC.
The good thing about UM is they look at the whole package. If you have any valuable experiences, volunteer work, etc then show it somewhere on your application and they will consider it! Good luck =)

I am considering on applying at UM BSN program for the Fall 2012. If there is anyone else on here who is considering also, well this is the best way for us to keep in contact. Also, if there are students who have gone there the process already, please feel free to comment.
My first concern is, How likely is it for a student with a 3.4gpa be accepted into the program?
