Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi! I just submitted my application for the university of Miami for the Spring 2016 semester and was wondering if anyone has heard back yet. Previous years, they have admitted students into the program on a rolling basis. I'm eager to find out if i got in!

Hey Acordova131 yes you can ask me questions! I applied for the accelerated program :)

Hey Rshergill877,

I applied back in July on nursingCAS and just got accepted this past Wednesday! They did send me a Canelink account. Which program did you apply for? I applied for the accelerated BSN program.

Hey Rshergill877,

yea me too. The spring cohort. I applied back in Aug like a week before the deadline.

Goodluck! I thought it would be hard to get accepted but it wasn't bad. Where are you from?

Thanks rs1622 Im from north Jersey!! I don't know why they told me 2 to 4 weeks lol i know someone whose application went for review and they found out that same week. These 2-4 weeks will be torture if thats when I am to find out lol where are you from?

I am working on my statement of purpose now How long did your guys end up being? Could you give any advice on writing that? I'm really not sure what to focus on. 250-650 words is also not very specific. Did you guys try to reach 650 or did you keep it short?

Mine was 662 words but I have not gotten accepted yet lol

Hey Rshergill877,

I applied in July and yes when I applied they gave me a canelink. I would def give them a ring! Whats ur email?

I got my acceptance Saturday!!! So pumped!!

Hey Acordova131..

I wrote about my past experience/academic. I would def recommend focusing on why you chose nursing as a career and write something that motivated you/driven into the nursing field.

spt5 did you just call the admissions office to defer? Wondering since I may need to do that. Thanks for any info!
